Living in Canada, I dreamed of having my own dresser! We lost a lot when we had the bedbugs and somehow things just led to us sleeping on the floor and my keeping my clothes in plastic drawers that kept getting jammed. That and it seemed like I could never get the sink under control.

I also embraced the joy of being able to read whatever I wanted. I could feel free to watch and read whatever I pleased! One of the things I got to read since my exwife wasn’t hoverin over my shoulder was Goblin Slayer. I actually really like the series. It’s very grimdark… dark fantasy? Not something I would recommend to people who are easily triggered by SA and gore. It’s a good series with a list of its own problems (and not the imagined ones that the exwife listed off as her reason for not reading it).

I rather like it because of Goblin Slayer himself. He’s focused on the little problems that no one else is focused on, addressing them in novel ways, and despite how people see him as lesser, he’s nonetheless earned respect as someone who perseveres even in the face of death. Goblin Slayer is trauma personified, fighting his demons literally, and he helps people by fighting his demons. The whole series takes fundamentally broken people and makes them heroes.

Granted, fan service is a thing, but. Shrug. I just really like Goblin Slayer.
