Debris of Daily Life

I brought her with me everywhere. Neither of us ever wanted to be apart. Someone tried to tell me what they were seeing back then but I didn’t listen, and now when I hear the Skype ring my mind goes back to nights where I was brought to tears because I couldn’t see her… and nights where I felt relief because it was finally dark and I was finally alone.
