Thandi can’t believe he’s wearing that jumper right now. They sit in the common room of the Ravenclaws, talking with their friends. She’s going nuts. As soon as he stands up, it’ll be…oh, dear.

“Whiskers. Gotta say. What’s Thandi so fidgety over?”

Oh no. She can almost see that impossibly smug grin behind her.

“Oh, this? She hates when I wear it. So I wear it a lot.”

She’s moved from his lap and she tries to tug him down. “It’s nothing!”

The front says, You think I’M amazing…

Please don’t turn around!

The back says, Wait til you see my wife!

Everyone howls and Charlie drops back down, putting a casual arm around Thandi. What…is he not going to pull her back into his lap? She stares at him until he turns his head to look at her, a question in his eyes.

She opens her mouth but snaps it shut, shaking her head. Her arms come up to hug herself, and she casts her eyes downward. He’s losing interest. He really is. He doesn’t want to be close to her anymore…

Her lip trembles and then she’s accosted by kisses, all up and down the side of her face. She goes wide-eyed, turning to look at Charlie as he finishes. What is this look on his face? She can’t seem to help but smile.

Maybe it’s okay right now.
