Ravenclaw Common Room
“Thandi, you have to stop letting him in. He’s pretty much an honorary Ravenclaw now.”
She smiles and laughs, shaking her head. “Sorry! He just doesn’t like the Slytherin dorms. Did you know it’s underwater? And underground? In a dungeon? Decorated with skulls?” Her smile doesn’t falter but the look in her eyes says, He stays.
Charlie’s grasp on her is firm and she’s not going to cave to someone two years her junior. He’s having trouble lately, and so is she. Their nightmares work in tandem but it’s always a relief to wake up near one another. It’s already seventh year and most of the faculty acquainted with them have given up on keeping them separated.
Granted, they aren’t glued together as they were in younger years, when Charlie’s fear would make him cling desperately to her at all hours. He’s found something he likes and it makes both of them happy, but they still come back together at night and he still accompanies her to a huge chunk of her classes.
Thandi runs her fingers through Charlie’s hair as she settles back comfortably on the couch. He breathes her in. It calms her. She pulls their blanket higher and the common room empties for the night. The fireplace crackles merrily. Her Camellia is curled behind Charlie’s knees, and his Rev sits on the back of the couch, preening himself.
She smiles and looks down to him. For someone that insists that he doesn’t care, he cares an awful lot.
