revenge, relax, and redo seem to be my main types of isekai, but there’s definitely another re:type i need to explore because i realized i don’t know what to categorize a wild last boss appeared!<\/a><\/em> and while it could slip into revenge, it’s not really a revenge story.<\/p>\n\n\n\ni am also tempted into adding a gaze category, but with the moe type style of the day it’s sometimes hard to tell. i feel like it would be easier to classify than josei\/seinen\/shounen\/shoujo? or maybe not. it would be something like male gaze\/female gaze\/equal opportunity\/no gaze? is this silly? but sometimes it’s hard to define something. take bofuri<\/a><\/em>, for example. that’s a gaze that’s hard to define, meanwhile a work like the barbarian’s bride<\/a><\/em> is solidly in the male gaze camp, even though it tries to be a bit equal opportunity with the leading male. is it more like a sliding scale? that would place barbarian’s bride<\/em> at 99% male, 1% female?<\/p>\n\n\n\nsomething to ponder. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
