They Are Billions is a Steampunk strategy game set on a post-apocalyptic planet. Build and defend colonies to survive against the billions of the infected that seek to annihilate the few remaining living humans. Can humanity survive after the zombie apocalypse?<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

I can only win on baby mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have tried to play the damn fucking main story and it’s too hard for me<\/em>. I try to play on 50% score factor and it kicks my ass.<\/em> Yet I can’t stop coming back. It’s an RTS against an ever-present enemy that comes in predictable waves. You have to raise defenses and manage your settlement well enough that you can withstand these waves but… time is of the essence. Resource management is aggressively<\/em> difficult unless one has the good fortune of being some kind of mastermind of the legendary variety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s one of those games that are so stupid hard that it acknowledges the difficulty in the game itself and among players. But I love it. I can’t stop coming back. I keep thinking, “Maybe this time!” and alter the strategy over and over again, praying to start in a good location with minimal access and to be able to have enough room to really spread out the fucking buildings. Jesus christ, everything is at a premium, man. Everything.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite all that, it has a sense of humor. The voice acting amuses me and the lines from the units are little and dumb but they are amusing. And honestly, if you make it, you make it.<\/em>That’s an earned sense of pride for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I honestly, instead of reading, spent over a week trying to beat a single normal game before I turned on baby mode to free myself from the prison of my own making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The only levels I don’t like are the ones where they give you a set amount of resources and you have to strategically place everything so that you can defend a single tower. That’s what’s got me fucked up. I can’t seem to figure that shit out.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
