This was a good season.
After season 4’s stick slap to the ice ending, it’s been on my mind endlessly. This season’s “winning culture” ideal has been rotating like fucking tacos al pastor in my brain since I watched it.
Shoresy made a strong coach, making a case for bringing hockey back to the traditional core of beat the shit out of them on the ice and promote the camaraderie of sport off the ice. It’s something he stood for in prior seasons as well, where his character has been growing since he was a joke in Letterkenny just chirping away, but now he has grown to stand for those ideals and promote them in other people.
It’s kind of beautiful. It’s like a fucking sports anime. You cry about it. They really beat the shit out of the point in this one.
