  • The Descent

    The Descent

I’ve seen this one a few times, actually, so I rewatched it because I don’t think I ever saw the Descent 2 and wanted to revisit it. I remember young me, 12 years old, thinking, oh god. Juno is hot. It’s a good movie, led by an all-female cast. I love cave creature movies and

Why Don’t You Eat Me, My Dear Wolf?

I threw the smut tag on here but it’s not until the final chapter (thankfully). This is a really soft, gentle manga.

Outbride: Beauty and the Beasts 1

ISEKAI’D BY: Truck-Kun! Noel is endgame for me. That said, I totally think Mashiro reacts appropriately to being resurrected to be a breeder with four dudes, one of which tries to fuck her like, right away, until another one barges in and basically says, “that’s not fair, bro, we gotta talk about who gets her

Archie Bongiovanni, the comics artist behind the award-winning hit A Quick and Easy Guide to They/Them Pronouns , explores queerness in the shockingly frank and funny graphic novel Mimosa . Best friends and chosen family Chris, Elise, Jo, and Alex work hard to keep themselves afloat. Their regular brunches hold them together even as the

  • 100 Ghost Stories That will Lead to My Own Death Vol. 01

100 Ghost Stories That will Lead to My Own Death Vol. 01

I am a sucker for ghost story anthologies like this. Some stories linger, some flop, and then you have the framework to wonder about as well. Also, sometimes fun art. The conceit is that a grade schooler, depressed and suicidal, was told about these 100 ghost stories. He’ll summon a real ghost if he manages

  • I Found a Lost Hallway in a Dying Mall

I Found a Lost Hallway in a Dying Mall

Somewhere among the shuttered stores… Lisa hears a call for help. She finds her senile old coworker, Saswin, lost in an abandoned hallway. He’s talking to a circle of mannequins, their limbs twisted and fused in unnatural ways. When Lisa looks away, she swears the mannequins have moved… And that this abandoned hallway has grown

Pocket Change Collective was born out of a need for space. Space to think. Space to connect. Space to be yourself. And this is your invitation to join us. In The New Queer Conscience, LGBTQIA+ activist Adam Eli argues the urgent need for queer responsibility — that queers anywhere are responsible for queers everywhere. Pocket

    Clockwork Planet 1 – 3

Harem Scale H: MC will do anything for his clockwork, including the right thing. A: By volume three, he’s aware that he wants to collect more robot girls. R: He’s got a thing going with Ryuzu. E: It’s pretty middling on the fan service, and keeps it to double entendre and phrasing. M: I’m down

  • When a Magician’s Pupil Smiles

    When a Magician’s Pupil Smiles

It’s a really interesting concept— main character Ouka Namae doesn’t possess feelings… until he does, in which case, he is overcome with the insatiable desire to kill the one he finds dear to him. The first chapter introduces us to the concept, the second brings in the background with a traitor to magicians, and after

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
