When I picked this up from the bookstore— yes, my folly, but I read it today, same day I got it— the cashier said, “There’s really stories about everything these days, isn’t there?”
“Haha, yeah.”
“The Invisible Man and his wife… so the invisible man has a wife now?”
“Uh, ah, well, yes, but, it’s more. An. Invisible man. He marries a blind woman. It’s a romance.”
“Oh, I see. Something for everyone.”
Awkward but whatever, I cracked open number 6 and had me a good time. It’s just so utterly cute and this volume starts dancing a little bit more on the naughty side as Yakou and Tounome move in together and get even closer. It explores some domesticity and finally lets Tounome relax a bit more about his insecurity about his invisibility.
The side characters get some time in the spotlight, including Yakou’s brother Fuuta, who hangs out for a bit at the office and helps make some dinner.
Overall: cute! As! Always!
