Truck-Kun!

Tsuguto Sumihara is way too nice… or rather, was too nice. He lost his life in a bus accident after being bullied into giving up his seat, and somehow was reincarnated into a mining camp! Not only that, the mine is at the base of an impossibly tall tower. It’s there he meets the ram-horned Loulier, his first friend in this bizarre land. But when she’s bullied, Tsuguto finds that maybe he wasn’t reincarnated without powers after all… and that, if he’s to have a future in this strange new land, Loulier’s just the partner he needs.

This series pushed Deus Ex Machina far enough that I finally added it as a trope. I’m also counting this as a Truck-kun kill since his death was caused by a bus crash (vehicular accident).

Not to say I don’t enjoy the series: I thoroughly did, especially since I picked up and dropped another series within like. Ten pages. (I’ll try again.) Loulier, the sheep girl on the cover, is adorable and I love her. The protagonist embodies a lot of the frustration that I think a lot of people have towards themselves, where they simply try to avoid confrontation by compromising their own positions.

It’s a straightforward isekai series about some kid and his new best friend trying to earn money and raise their levels. And then accidentally becoming slightly stronger than average. Not OP just yet… but we’ll see how it goes.

I almost forgot my RE graph. Though this story is primarily a reLIVE in regards to the protag wanting to improve himself and stop being the guy who just folds, there is an element of reVENGE since he got his unique skill through basically cursing someone with everything he has. He has a vendetta against assholes, but not enough to pursue it mindlessly or with passion. His passion is entirely dedicated to helping his new little sister.

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
