Dating can be tough when you nerd out over barbecue. Kenta, a practical pitmaster, looks for a grill-friend in Chihiro, an aloof and faultless business babe…or is she? Scared of being rejected for who they really are, the two of them find comfort in food and each other…and all is well until Kenta must transfer away. With their developing relationship at steak, Chihiro proposes they tie the knot and they marry for better or wurst. Winging a long-distance marriage is one thing, but here’s the rub-they barely know each other! It’s a rare marriage where all the awkwardness of dating meets a sizzling passion for grilling!

this is a really cute manga. for some weird reason i thought it was an isekai when i was just looking at the cover but i’m so deep in isekais that of course i would think so, right? i just did not think about it. for about half the volume i wondered, when are they going to be dropped into a fantasy world full of people who have never heard of salt or whatever? and then i realized oooh it’s just a normal food manga where you can actually make the food

STOP STOP I’M ALREADY HUNGRY

girl got lucky w a guy who loves to cook and is absolutely head over heels. ngl i would be too. he is obsessed with cooking good food to eat w her

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
