H: MC will do anything for his clockwork, including the right thing.

A: By volume three, he’s aware that he wants to collect more robot girls.

R: He’s got a thing going with Ryuzu.

E: It’s pretty middling on the fan service, and keeps it to double entendre and phrasing.

M: I’m down because I like the concept, but my HP goes down every time Ryuzu says her full name.

Clockwork Planet is an artificial celestial body created by the elusive and enigmatic clockwork master known as Y. He single-handedly rebuilt the Earth with nothing more than reams of data and gear parts, breathing life into a planet dead for a millennia.

Naoto Miura is a not-so-ordinary high school student who possesses exceptionally acute hearing. His gift allows him to hear the turning of even the smallest gears on the planet. He is obsessed with clockwork, so he spends his days toying with gears, making him an outcast at school.

One day, while Naoto is in the shower, a large container suddenly crashes into his apartment. Inside it, he discovers a beautifully preserved automaton by the name of RyuZU, and decides to repair her. Little does Naoto know that this encounter with RyuZU will turn the gears of fate, forever changing the course of humanity.

The first thing I noticed was that the art was absolutely stellar.

Gorgeous.

That’s around 206 years.

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
