hmmmmnggg it’s just so pure and loving that we had a hard time following it up with another series
as karen put it, “It’s ecchi with heart.” which it is! “How else is she supposed to show her affection when she can’t do anything?”
“And she knows she’s completely safe, like, he will never touch her with the curse for one, and even after he would never touch her without consent anyhow,” I said back.
“Right! So she goes to these obvious extremes because she can’t express affection in a normal way and she’s safe.”
“And they’re both perverts, really.”
“Right!”
And now it’s just, there’s so much feeling and yearning stuffed into the series that you can’t walk away. Every character that’s introduced grows and changes, revealing some part of them that redeems them into someone that can be loved and cared for. Pain and suffering and cruelty don’t happen for no reason in this world and it’s something almost calming that feels so… nice.
The only thing that I wish I saw more of was the school arc! There was initially a whole lot more to it but it was montage’d away… to get to the meat of the plot, which I suppose was well worth it, gods damn it all!
