You know what, I feel bad for Obikawa. He’s caught in this weird web of friendship and manipulation, and as my favorite character and the biggest rat-man in the series, I do not think he should have become a liquidated mass of meat. (not that I think the story should go differently, i truly wonder what will happen)
He’s being manipulated sexually, his best friend has started using him for drugs, mirroring his former friend’s downfall. He’s so sad about it that he became his friend and was subsequently liquidated by people trying to make him be… something else.
The series is really going all over the place. How DARE they have a borzoibot and backpack-puppies while also having a man that is despairing about the delicate line between despair and attraction? In one corner we have a woman trying to bring her fiance back from the dead, and in the other corner we have the same woman giving a snake god handies so he could turn into said fiance. On one end we have a child who realizes true terror at the idea of becoming a being that is comfortable with the gods and their messed-up ideals, and on the other end is his sister who accidentally turned a main character into a puppy.
Every time I read a volume, it feels so short. I’m dying over here.
