- it’s time to reset the sidebar count to more realistic expectations. 50 books and 200 comics.
- i have tried my solution of simply posting manga with whatever the hell. i took notes in calibre on the ones i read recently while noting i read them there and just copied my notes from there.
- i noticed that screenshotting makes it more likely i’ll fall off reading something so i stopped. screenshots will be only sometimes.
- i modified the front page layout to be phone friendly and me-friendly. you can scroll a ways before it stops you and you have to go to more stuff.
- i am thinking of blogging on my main site.
- still need to cut down on tropes.

two more of my own books read but as you can see from the dropped percentage, i have acquired more books, mostly from kickstarters. RIP
i think in the new year i will pick up some series i have been wanting to read off my shelves and just go for it. i need to fit reading more snugly into my routines, as right now i have been bouncing around.

revenge, relax, and redo seem to be my main types of isekai, but there’s definitely another re:type i need to explore because i realized i don’t know what to categorize a wild last boss appeared! and while it could slip into revenge, it’s not really a revenge story.
i am also tempted into adding a gaze category, but with the moe type style of the day it’s sometimes hard to tell. i feel like it would be easier to classify than josei/seinen/shounen/shoujo? or maybe not. it would be something like male gaze/female gaze/equal opportunity/no gaze? is this silly? but sometimes it’s hard to define something. take bofuri, for example. that’s a gaze that’s hard to define, meanwhile a work like the barbarian’s bride is solidly in the male gaze camp, even though it tries to be a bit equal opportunity with the leading male. is it more like a sliding scale? that would place barbarian’s bride at 99% male, 1% female?
something to ponder.

in any case… happy new year!! i thought briefly about stopping in 2025 but i think if i can manage again in 2026 i will have more fun this time.
