Our protagonist has been reincarnated into the world of an otome game as the villainess “Mariabell Tempest”, a noble lady with a dreadful personality. Whenever the game’s heroine reaches a happy ending, Mariabell would face a bad ending involving her being disgraced, going missing, or even dying. On top of that, the enabled ‘auto-mode’ is preventing Mariabell from choosing her own decisions however and whenever she wants. But on the 6th loop of the game, the the “auto-mode” causing her inevitable fate finally deactivates! Now, in order to survive and live peacefully, Mariabell will have to take advantage of her knowledge and experience from the past five loops! The manga version of the popular fantasy-otome game reincarnation novel is finally here!

I wish it had more romance with Keith.

That said, in a realistic way, Keith is the perfect partner. He supports MC without getting overzealous and trusts in her ability to fend for herself, only stepping in when he is wanted and needed. His support helps MC keep moving forward with a strong spirit and he is a strong part of the reason she is able to persist despite the constant fear for her life.

It’s a bit boring at times (I stopped in the middle for like two weeks) but it is an alright take on the otome isekai. While unique in how it addresses her new beau (a character that never appeared in the game who still operates purely as a side character and rarely feels little more than a tickle of romance), the rest of the story is not overly unique or groundbreaking. If you’re super into otome isekai, enjoy! If not, give it a pass.

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
