An orphaned teen hits the road with a mysterious robot to find her long-lost brother, teaming up with a smuggler and his wisecracking sidekick.
Sometimes I’ll be chilling in the living room and someone turns a movie on and I end up watching it.
It’s a rather surface level morality movie that says that maybe we should put our cell phones down, take note of who technology is hurting (robots are an analogue for every minority ever), with a tickle of Corporations Are Bad, complete with a psuedo-Jeff Bezos figure who has a broken moral compass and no qualms for using the brain of a child for computer processing.
It was a visual spectacle, and someone had a lot of fun, and my favorite character was Herm the construction robot whose role is to play off of Crisp Rat.
