Shoresy is pushed into retirement due to sports injuries and age, that’s what we got here

Foul-mouthed, chirp-serving, mother-loving, fan favourite character, Shoresy, joins the Sudbury Bulldogs of the Northern Ontario Senior Hockey Organization (The NOSHO) on a quest to never lose again.

I didn’t think I would love Shoresy or this sports show or whatever, and then I watched Shoresy and my dumb ass weeped and celebrated and learned the bare minimum about hockey to enjoy this.

Like, this is the guy I had tears about when he was in Letterkenny:

And yet! And yet!

I’m dying, man. You got all these dudes, these huge hunks of masculinity, and you’re sitting there just absolutely having a time. It’s the same vibe as Letterkenny: boys can be boys, absolute wee dickwads, but man, they don’t have to be cunts about it. You sit and you admire them! You get sucked in, engaged to their drama! You get concerned for all these old horny dudes!

It feels good, man, it feels good to watch.

Unlike Letterkenny, this is focused more on the drama. You get more going on with interpersonal problems. But it’s funny. And yet.

And like Letterkenny, there is a huge percentage of just stupid attractive women. Not a whole lot of female body diversity in my show about a male hockey team who loves chasing tail, drinking, and destroying each other in the rink.

Welcome to the Menagerie.

Here is where M logs their media activity. Partly because Goodreads is forgettable and keeping physical logs is harder. Sometimes M writes a lot. Sometimes M doesn’t write enough. It doesn’t matter. This is just a for-fun little blog so that M can remember what they thought about whatever they watched or read or played or. Whatever.

What is M?

I read. Voraciously. I have subscriptions to those book things on digital retailers. I consume books at nearly all hours. The hours I don’t spend reading? I’m writing. I’m drawing. I have a problem. I have a problem in that I love to read things that are in the same vein repeatedly. Book journals don’t work and as much as I text my friends screenshots of book passages, it doesn’t scratch the itch. Now I’m going to be doing… tiny… tiny book reports.
