It’s finally happened.
Rodney Rodney Rodney is over.
I’ve been following it since its inception, collecting the volumes as they were released, I’m waiting for the Kickstarter omnibus to fulfill… my guy. Rodney R Rodney is just. Fucking fantastic.
Quick summary: There’s this creepy neighbor who inexplicably shares a resemblance to the Wanted posters that are hanging around town. He’s weird, he’s shady, and he just keeps showing up. And his full name is Rodney Rodney Rodney. People scramble to find evidence to put him away, but maybe everyone is also… overreacting.
I remember it started as a joke, from a funny post on Tumblr. And then it ended up in this years-long comic that brought a lot of people together.

This was the very first panel! And it grew!

RRR is about people trying hard, about giving people the benefit of the doubt, about standing up for what is right even when what is right feels like it’s driving you against the wall.
I don’t think there is a single character I dislike in all the comic. Even when they’re just absolute weirdos, they’re moving forward in this misguided sense of right and justice to protect people. I think about RRR a lot and knowing now I’m not going to get that middle-of-the-night chime letting me know an update has been posted in the discord, well. That makes me sad! But I’m so very looking forward to the future.
Now ignore my pile of RRR merch I have. And am adding to. (I am eyeing prints RIGHT NOW)(But I just did two back-to-back orders)
*** Also, I have the floppy books 1 through 6 and I love love love how Vee did the sticker over the face in the book. She used real stickers and brought a sort of 3D feeling to it. Honestly, super fucking cool!

And because I’m shy about commenting in the Discord but still wanting the creator to feel how happy I am, I threw an ask at her on Tumblr and was delighted to see she’s already thinking about her next project!
