This is a short werewolf story and gods, it’s gorgeous. The linework is nice, and the main characters are great. And finding out that there’s a greater story descended from this one???

This comic functions as a spiritual (rather than canonical/chronological) predecessor to my current long-form comic, DARLIN’ AND HER OTHER NAMES. This original comic is a loose experiment that I made in order to explore the concept of werewolves surviving the American frontier. Soon after its completion, I began researching to ground these characters within a specific historical context and craft a larger narrative around them. DARLIN’ AND HER OTHER NAMES is the product of that research. The characters and their story have changed significantly between these two iterations.�
