Anyway, the conceit of the dungeon is that monsters drop… food… materials… air. Like. Literally everything is dropped by dungeon monsters.
And as always every manga is a food manga.

And then we venture into a new dungeon, where his weaknesses can be overcome through sheer hard work. The escapism here is earning based on merit: he arrives useless, but unusually skilled in something strange. And! through his hard work he can grow visibly. It’s why the level system in games exist. It’s a number to chase.
But that’s why I keep reading this sort of stuff. It’s the escapism I’m here for.
