The to-do list:
- Add a page for recommended reading
- Add a page about webcomics
Zine library additionsAn “other” category for miscellaneous media? Or just add podcasts to the category list.- Prune the genres and arrange the collections to make sense.
- Remove the current trope guide, to be replaced by the clickable tropes.
- Finish adding the trope descriptions to each archive page.
- Can I add pictures to the archive pages, or will I have to make unique pages for the ones where I want to add pictures?
- Consider adding a chart for the digital media I own.
Contemplate: Star Trek. Do I do it by season or by episode?
February saw me put this project on the backburner for more pressing things. And… well. The book I had been reading really dammed up my ability to read anything else (it was Man, Fuck This House). So! I fell behind.

We’re still sitting at 60%, sadly.
RE:
Re: Star Trek. I’m doing a post by season and review by episode on the post itself, since each episode is an hour long.
Re: Webcomics page. I’m debating whether to combine it with recommended reading. The page is an amorphous blob of links right now, really not pleasing to look at. And honestly, I need to review everything on the list anyway… an excuse to read more webcomics (or reread them, fuckin why not!).
Re: Genres. I tried to arrange them and continuously ran into this block of… what’s too specific? How do I group them? do I make a “Comics” genre dedicated to how it’s presented, meaning Comics is 4-koma/strips/manga/manhua/manwha/webcomic? Do I even use the “Fiction” genre at this point because it gets so inflated with specific kinds of fiction? Will I be reading enough of one genre to merit the tag? Still thinking on this one.
Re: Tropes. In the process of doing this, I’ve realized that writing a description of each and tying it to the actual tag itself is much more efficient, but also, there’s more tropes that I notice than I have thought. It’s taking time. I will be removing the Trope Guide this month though and also adding a little more for certain tropes that require a bigger explanation.
Re: Digital media chart. Absolutely not. I am a digital hoarder and I have a lot of digital media, well into the thousands. Much as I do love and adore organizing my collections over and over again, making an accurate chart of everything isn’t in the cards.
WHAT’S BEEN DONE
The Harem Scale has been added. With the uptick in the amount of harem genre (oh, fuck, I have to add that to the genre list, don’t I?) work I have been reading, I decided to make a fun little scale that I can make little radar graphs out of, because radar graphs are neat. I absolutely don’t condemn harem stories, but there’s a fine line between “waifus being sold to you” and “realized character”. I think that the page explain it adequately.
The Zine category is now active. You can now see the most recent 6 that I have read on the front page. I’m still tweaking the layout because there’s more I’d like to share about zines than say about them.
I’m adding straight up porn to some of my reviews. I was already writing about the literary porn I was reading, so I decided it wouldn’t hurt to add some other porn in here. Shrug. A book is a book. I’m not going to share images of fucking, though.
ONGOING TO-DO
- Add the recommended reading + webcomic page
- Clean up the genres for my use of use
- Finish the trope descriptions
- Fix the archive pages variance on image size (it’s heinous)
- Write the isekai species page (or perhaps call it the Wish Fulfillment fantasy page?)
- Tidy the backend’s drafts, of which I have many.
- Update the sidebar’s graphs.
