Closing out the year at last, and I now have another blog. Fuck me, I guess.
I’m joking. I like this. No one else does but man, it’s been a lot easier to pull up precisely what I thought (or vaguely shrugged at) when I did something. I’ve legitimately pulled up the blog multiple times to assist my memory and man, that makes life so much easier during conversations. Maybe everyone should have a personal blog where they write down what they think of stuff in an easily searchable and quiet personal space that they could share if they do it actively instead of blasting the void with it and praying for engagement. (Obviously I am not waiting for engagement here. I have turned off comments. I am writing this for my main audience: me.)
What I’m thinking for 2025:
- Add disability rep to the meta
- Fix whatever the FUCK I’m doing with all these damn boxes. It’s getting annoying.
- Make a standard template for different categories
- Do SOMETHING about how itty-bitty featured images can be
- Clear out my backlog
- Add a page for recommended reading
- Add a page about webcomics
- Zine library additions
- Focus on media I own instead of the library, where I routinely borrow too many books and then go a little bit insane trying to read them in time when I have a physical library that is maybe 30-40% read and a digital library spanning thousands
That’s a pretty good list, I think.
Now, I would share “My Year in Books” from Goodreads but I don’t think it really has much information that I care about. It lists my books again and says how many pages they were. Honestly, I think I may move away from Goodreads entirely. Perhaps I can make more graphs on my own.
Haha. Naaaah. I might move away from Goodreads, but I’m too employed to make graphs for all the stuff I read/watch/whatever when I’m too busy making graphs for the amount of writing I have done.
